"Paesaggi urbani"
L´urbanizzazione selvaggia ha fallito: la frantumazione del territorio, l´abbandono dalla campagna verso la città, causato dall´attuale sfrenato liberismo economico ha generato un irreversibile modello che produce grandi conflitti sociali nelle sconsolate periferie, nelle bidonville, nelle favelas, negli accampamenti dove un´ umanità avvilita convive in un´ allucinante povertà.
Si assiste ad un´ espansione geografica delle città, confuse, ėnumane, con molteplici stratificazioni, con interventi che creano caos esistenziale e materiale.
Le città irrazionali, brutali, postmoderne hanno preso il sopravvento producendo scenari tristi e degradati.
Le città, invase da milioni di persone che fuggono dalla miseria dei campi dall´inquinamento ambientale, dall´ industrializzazione dei processi agricoli, dallo sfruttamento parossistico delle risorse sono il risultato di questa trasformazione.
Grandi profitti per pochi e città desolanti per molti.
Si continua erroneamente a sostenere un modello di sviluppo capitalistico delle città che alimenta la fuga dai territori per un illusorio reddito finanziario.
Croce Taravella dipinge il dramma sociale ed ambientale delle grandi città, paesaggi urbani di una tristezza infinita cupi e malinconici, mostri del terzo millennio.
città confuse, affastellate, livide dove l´umanità lotta per la sopravvivenza e con lo scoppio della bolla finanziaria tutto ciō si č ulteriormente evidenziato.
Croce Taravella passa da un linguaggio pittorico forte e selvaggio da action painting ad una pittura che privilegia il contenuto e la forma. Intellettuale raffinato dipinge denunziando il nichilismo insito nell´attuale sistema di produzione e la sua pittura grida il degrado dei paesaggi urbani.
Croce Taravella critica aspramente nei suoi quadri il modello economico sociale finanziario che penalizza le regioni del sud del mondo e le contraddizioni insite nel sistema.

Uncontrolled urbanization has failed. The territorial shattering, the exodus from the country towards the towns caused by the present exaggerated free trade has generated an irreversible model that has produced great social conflicts in the disheartened suburbs, in the bidonvilles, in the camps where degraded society lives together in awful poverty.
The confused, inhumane cities expand geographically, with various stratifications and interventions that create existential and material chaos.
The irrational, post modern, brutal, irrational cities have taken over, producing sad and degraded scenes.
The results of this transformation are the cities invaded by millions of people fleeing from the wretchedness of the fields, from environmental pollution, from the industrialization of the agricultural processes and from the paroxystic exploitation of the resources. Great profits for a few people and gloomy cities for many others.
We are wrong in supporting the capitalistic developmental model of the cities that encourages the flight from the country in the illusion of financial gain.
Croce Taravella paints the social and environmental drama of the big cities, urban landscapes of an infinite dark, dismal sadness, monsters of the third millenium.
They are confused, jumbled, livid cities where human beings struggle for survival, all of which has been further emphasized by the outbreak of the financial crisis.
Croce Taravella passes from the strong, wild, pictorial language of action painting to a type of painting that privileges content and form.
He is a refined intellectual who paints denouncing the nihilism inborn in the present system of production and his painting underlines the degradation of the urban landscapes.
In his paintings he bitterly criticizes the economic, social and financial model that penalizes the underdeveloped regions of the world and the contradictions innate in the system.
